Every time I complete a song I feel as though a part of my porous being has been filled in and I become a little more complete in my own self-awareness and consciousness. There was no exception after the newest addition to my songbook, Barnacles, a piece about the lulls in life. By not moving directly into a 9-5 career job after college, I have faced (and continue to face) a lot of uncertainty about my future and sometimes it is difficult not to become stagnant in my goals to pursue music. However, I'm not one to be idle for long and soon it was my trepidation to leave the safe harbor that became my inspiration to follow through with the launch.
Break off these barnacled habits that formed when I was stagnant; leave those wasted days in my wake.
